Hello world!

Welcome to the first post of my second blog! My other blog, Loom Lady Land, is dedicated just to loom knitting, but I have many other interests. This blog focuses on other areas of my life such as travel, art, sewing & costume design, music, books, photography, graphic art, spiritual matters, friends and family. I have always had more interests than time to enjoy them, so please excuse the erratic threads that run in the tapestry of this blog.

Thanks to my niece, Julie, for the beautiful photo of the Grand Canyon crow used in my blog banner montage, along with my dome house. Both the crow and the dome are reflections of my spiritual nature, but more on that at another time.  Please check back from time to time as more is added to this blog.  In the meantime, enjoy one of my photos that was made one chilly winter evening near our cabin in Alabama.

  1. Hi, I’m from the roundloom blog and have visited both of your sites. Interesting that you are an Aries, as am I. I notice, by your profile, that we have so much in common–an interest in many different types of music, including Celtic and Native American and a love of teaching, although I am an accountant by “trade” but also teach music. I would love to see some of your gourd work, as I love to paint and will be doing some work on gourds my son grew this summer. I love to needle and loom knit, do counted cross, sew doll clothes (I have a collection) and I read as much as possible, although I have no author preferences, enjoying most biographies, some Dean Koontz and Lee Child,-just finished “Running with Scissors, (Auguesten Burroughs) a real tribute to the human spirit and the will to survive.
Do you have children? Would love to chat with you some more.
    Beautiful photos!

  2. Brenda,
It’s nice to learn a little more about the oh so talented loom lady! I too love graphic arts and photography. I just love your house, it is very beautiful. I see where the name comes from now! LOL.
